Debby Alaniz

Principal

Debby Alaniz leads the accounting and financial reporting services team. She has over 30 years of experience with Crescent Real Estate, CBRE, Heitman, JMB, Pinchal & Company and Lionstone Investments. She has experience with office, retail and industrial. At Houston Center, she was controller over the 4.2 million sf mixed use development an annual operating budget of $115 million of revenue, $50 million of operating costs and $26 million of capital expenditures and tenant improvements.

KELLY DISALVO

Manager, Acquisitions & Dispositions

Kelly DiSalvo joined the REIS team in October 2020 and currently serves as the Manager of Acquisitions and Dispositions. In this role, she serves as a consultant that focuses on identifying and mitigating risks associated with the acquisition and disposition of STNL assets and corporate real estate portfolios. She assists with the management of multiple portfolio acquisitions and dispositions which total over $500 million to date. She is responsible for performing due diligence, managing offer to closing procedures, and constructing financial forecasts for operating and capital budgets. Prior to joining REIS, Kelly graduated from St. Edward’s University where she served as a student-athlete playing on the women’s soccer team and earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance. Since then, Kelly has over five years of professional experience in various industries that include commercial real estate, financial services, forensic litigation, oil & gas, and technology. Being active in community service, Kelly founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Donald A. Baker Foundation, where she currently serves as the President.

Aj Jennings

Senior General Manager

Aj Jennings has decades of expertise in property management, opening new retail and mixed-use developments, turning around distressed properties and creating experiential retail environments.  She has managed some of the nation’s most popular developments and mixed-use properties over the past 40+ years. She has a strong track record of business administration, tenant, customer and community relations, security and crisis management and media relations.

Aj joined REIS Associates in 2019 at Rice Village as the Senior General Manager taking on the responsibility of managing and rebranding the renovation of this trendy destination community consisting of boutiques unique to Houston and iconic brands and restaurants. She is dedicated to executing measurable goals, team building, lease compliance and capital project management.

Prior to joining the Rice Village team, Aj was responsible for the operations and management of the Austin mixed-use redevelopment of Domain Northside, featuring Nordstrom, The Archer Hotel, along with 625,000 square feet of national and  locally owned retailers, chef-driven food and beverage concepts, luxury apartments and high tech business spaces. She coordinated the efforts of creating an entertainment mecca, Rock Rose, a distinctive block within Phase III of the new development.

 

TOM MOORE

Construction Manager

The construction management team is led by Tom Moore, who has over 25 years of experience for consulting with various industries (financial, retail, manufacturing, healthcare). Tom has managed several construction projects from the ground up for anything from major data centers to retail distribution facilities. Mr. Moore has managed over 150 projects with an estimated value of $56 million. His projects included Houston Center, Memorial Herman Hospital and 22 office buildings in Houston area, 712 Main, Total Gas and Power data center, and Cambridge Technology Partners.  

Frank Staats, CPM

Founder, CEO

Frank Staats, who is the founder of REIS, has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He began his career with Hines as a property accountant.  Mr. Staats then worked at Houston Center, a 4.5 million mixed project, for 25 years where he became General Manager/Vice President of Asset Management in 1997.  As General Manager of Houston Center, he managed an annual operating budget of $190 million. Mr. Staats formed REIS Associates, LLC in September 2014 to provide asset management support services. REIS’ current clients include Lionstone, Rice University, Hines, Metro National, Stablewood, Radom, and Keystone Properties
